Lardy Cake
Something sweet was the request for this weeks bread club, so lardy cake was the what we made.
We all seemed to do different things, either by accident or choice. One of us forgot to add half of the fat - oops! we used different flour, local and British. There was a smokey air around the aga as the cakes began to bake.
Lets see what the feedback is- a hit or a miss!

  1. I think it would be better with half the fat tbh! I know alot of the fat from mine leaked out into the AGA (sorry Kathy - I hope it recovered!).
    The remainder of my Trexy cake went to the new F4MD hub at Gilchrist Avenue to nourish the hard working volunteers:)
